Sadly, we have decided to cancel our Thanksgiving show. We feel that things are not quite coming together as they should, and rather than forcing you to come to a pretty bad show on such a notorious night for catching up with old friends and family, we believe it would be best to let our audience roam free.
As some of you may have heard, we were also planning to make this our last proper IndeTale show. Those of us working behind the scenes are all about to embark on major changes in our professional and personal lives, and we felt that we will no longer be able to put in the work necessary to bring you fun, high quality shows.
Most importantly, however, I would like to thank you all. What started as an experimental project grew into an amazing ride. In less than one year, we put on four spectacular shows, listened to nearly 30 stories from all over the globe, and raised nearly $300 for literacy programs in Central Indiana and close to $1500 for AMPATH- Kenya, all while drinking fresh local beer and spirits. Not a bad gig, if you ask me.
Thank you to our brave and amazing storytellers and hosts, our generous venues, and to the incredibly supportive audience that made the last year possible. We couldn’t have done any of it without you.
Cheers, Maria, founder of IndeTale PS: We are still working with Indy Reads to bring you one more event this winter, though it will not be in our “traditional” format. More details to come. Additionally, if you are interested in carrying the IndeTale torch in the future or starting a similar project, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
